Dr. Karthik is a distinguished expert in Vascular & Interventional Radiology with over 15 years of extensive experience across the US, UK, and Singapore. Currently serving as the Director of Vascular & Interventional Radiology at MIOT Hospitals International in Chennai, India, Dr. Karthik has a proven track record of excellence and innovation in his field.

Dr. Karthik’s medical journey began at the  Madras Medical College in India, where he earned his medical degree. Driven by a passion for advancing his expertise, he pursued postgraduate training in the UK. During this time, he attained the esteemed membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and the fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2007. Further enhancing his credentials, he completed his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in 2010.

In pursuit of specialised training, Dr. Karthik embarked on a year-long Fellowship in Vascular & Interventional Radiology at the Cleveland Clinic in the USA, one of the most respected medical centers worldwide. Following his fellowship, he served as a Consultant Interventional Radiologist in the NHS, UK, for two years, where he honed his skills and contributed to patient care and clinical advancements.

Dr. Karthik’s career then led him to Singapore General Hospital, where he worked as a Senior Consultant for six years. His leadership and vision were instrumental in setting up the interventional radiology services at Sengkang General Hospital, where he served as the Clinical Lead for two years. His efforts significantly improved the hospital’s capabilities in this specialised field, ensuring high-quality care for patients.

In 2020, Dr. Karthik returned to India, bringing his wealth of international experience to MIOT Hospitals International in Chennai. His special interests include aortic, peripheral vascular, and hepatobiliary interventions. He is known for his innovative approaches and commitment to advancing medical procedures.

Dr. Karthik is also a prolific contributor to medical research, with over 30 research articles published in leading peer-reviewed journals. His expertise and insights are highly sought after, and he has been invited to speak at numerous international conferences, sharing his knowledge and advancements in the field of interventional radiology.
