Best Doctors South 2026 is an annual feature presented by Outlook, recognising doctors from different medical specialties across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
I am grateful to be included among the interventional radiologists selected for this year’s feature and to represent Chennai in the Radiology – Interventional category.
My Journey in Interventional Radiology
For more than 15 years, I have worked in Vascular and Interventional Radiology across India, the United Kingdom, the United States and Singapore.
I currently serve as Director of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at MIOT International, Chennai, with special interests in aortic, peripheral vascular and hepatobiliary interventions.
Interventional radiology uses advanced medical imaging to guide highly targeted treatments through small incisions. Depending on the patient and procedure, this minimally invasive approach can offer benefits such as less pain, fewer complications, shorter hospital stays and faster recovery compared with conventional surgery.
Throughout my career, my focus has remained on delivering patient-centred care while contributing to the advancement of interventional radiology through research, education and collaboration with medical professionals across different specialties.
