Enhancing Interventional Radiology Skills: A Successful State Chapter Meeting
As the president of the Tamilnadu Pondicherry state chapter of ISVIR, it is truly a great moment as I reflect on the highlights of our highly successful 1st annual meeting centred on knowledge sharing and skill enhancement. The event was a resounding success, thanks to the collaborative efforts of our members and the hard work of the KMCH IR team guided by Dr Mathew Cherian.
Key highlights of the meeting included:
• Member-driven agenda: The topics for the meeting were chosen based on a quick survey among our members, ensuring that the discussions were relevant and engaging to our audience.
• Volunteer faculty: Interventional radiologists who were seriously interested in teaching were invited to volunteer as faculty, contributing to a diverse and informative program.
• Case-based learning: The first day of the meeting featured case-based discussions, providing attendees with practical insights into the application of interventional radiology techniques.
• Anonymous Q&A: To encourage open and honest discussion, attendees were able to ask questions anonymously via online app during the sessions .
• Hands-on workshops: The second day focused on hands-on workshops, offering radiology trainees and fellows the opportunity to gain practical experience in basic and advanced interventional radiology procedures.
The event underscored the commitment of the chapter to advancing interventional radiology practices and fostering a collaborative community.
