Sharing Knowledge at MYSIR 2025: Endovascular Management of DVT
I had the privilege to be invited as a faculty speaker at the Malaysian Society of Interventional Radiology (MYSIR) 2025 Annual Meeting held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was an incredible experience to engage with experts and share knowledge on Endovascular Management of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).

Why This Topic Matters
DVT is a serious condition where blood clots form in the deep veins, usually in the legs. If not treated properly, patients can develop long-term complications such as chronic pain, swelling, and reduced quality of life.
Through endovascular treatment, we can remove or reduce these clots, quickly relieve symptoms, and most importantly, prevent long-term damage. Early intervention is key to improving patient outcomes.
Key Takeaways from the Session:
- Importance of early diagnosis and timely treatment.
- Benefits of endovascular procedures in managing extensive clots.
- Preventing post-thrombotic syndrome and improving quality of life for patients.

It was an honour to contribute to this important discussion and to be part of a community that is continuously working to improve patient care and outcomes.
